The Kids Incorporated Foundation was formed to encourage and support literacy in young children.
Many factors make providing a literacy rich life for children difficult; the rising cost of education for
teachers, the rising cost of enrichment programs and the elimination of local scholarship programs due
to recent State budget cuts. We understand the importance of reading to young children and believe a
book should not be a luxury in a child’s life.
The Kids Incorporated Foundation will:
- Support literacy in our community
Local libraries offer children their first glimpse at the wonderful world of books. First Book puts
books into the hands of children who do not have access to them. Learning to read is critical
to a child’s success – both in school and in life. Literacy is one of the best predictors of a child’s
future success. We will donate funds to our local library and First Book.
- Provide educational opportunities for teachers
Well educated teachers provide quality experiences for young children and can instill in them
the importance of becoming a life-long learner.
- Provide enrichment programs for children
Music, art, science, and athletics are all important aspects of a quality early childhood education
program. Children with a well-rounded background are more enthusiastic about school.
- Provide scholarships to families in need
All children deserve quality early childhood education, regardless of their family’s financial
The Kids Incorporated Foundation is dedicated to the following: the education and enrichment of
children and teachers at the Fox Hill School, providing scholarships to children who may not otherwise
be able to attend Fox Hill. We will promote literacy by insuring that all children have books in their
schools and homes and that they continue to have access to their local libraries.
Kids Incorporated Foundation is not yet a non-profit organization. Donations are not tax deductable.
