About the Course
Building Strong Foundations: Designing and Implementing Literature-Based Curriculum in the Preschool Classroom is a dynamic, hands-on workshop designed for early childhood educators who want to bring stories to life in meaningful, developmentally appropriate ways. Participants will learn how to select high-quality children’s literature, align books with Massachusetts Early Learning Standards, and design integrated, literature-based units that foster language, cognitive, and social-emotional growth. Through interactive activities, collaborative planning, and real-world examples, educators will leave with practical strategies, ready-to-use ideas, and a mini-unit plan they can implement immediately in their classrooms. This course equips teachers, assistant teachers, and curriculum coordinators with the tools to create engaging, story-driven learning experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love of reading in preschool-aged children.
