We are exploring all the amazing materials and tools in our classroom! Using oil pastels, silky sticks, crayons, and watercolors, we created beautiful backgrounds for our “All About Me” art projects.
We also practiced our scissor skills—learning how to hold and use scissors safely and creatively. From straight to decorative blades, we discovered how different tools make unique patterns. Cutting playdough “snakes” was a fun way to strengthen our hand muscles, too!
After hearing that some friends went apple picking, our curiosity led us to explore apples up close. We examined apple slices with magnifying glasses, studied the seeds, and even used strawberry hullers to carefully remove them. This hands-on investigation combined science, curiosity, and fine motor practice all in one!
It was a wonderful week of creativity, discovery, and skill-building. We can’t wait to see what we’ll learn next!
